Fifty-four Forty or Laugh!
The US and Canada have been subsumed
By a trying set of circumstances:
Divorces, debts, unemployment,
Now they have even made enemies of the UN,
Out on the street with nowhere else to go,
What can two best buddies do
When the whole world is up against them?
Why move in together, of course!
This Fall, opposites will have no choice
But to attract and react when they share
An apartment in hip and swinging Brooklyn,
Watch as the US tries to get into tight jeans!
Watch as Canada fails to pick up French girls!
Tune in for the debates about health care
And what to do with pipelines
Running through the kitchen and bathroom,
But stay around long enough
To watch the special guest Mexico
Come between two countries who thought
They were above a mere sultry brunette.
