Showering in the Dark
The solar system smashes against my heart--
these patterns are pinholes in black construction paper,
a light shining through.
Take back to the Starlab in the elementary school gym,
ten years old in the dark with classmates--
how many of us had the instinct to kiss our crush?
But never did.
The sky is for wishes, we learned
with the Milky Way, how big the idea of a galaxy--
I hide from bands of lights.
