A Real Gentleman
Sorry I couldn’t take your call
I was making out w a Federal Agent
who was rather feisty and had me
handcuffed (literally – he’s such a kinky one)
so I had to let your call go to voicemail.
Anyway, it was great visiting you
last weekend. Loved your loft in the city
and your lawyer boyfriend seems nice.
It was kind of him to offer to split the check
with us, you and your gallery gig, me as a writer,
we just don’t make a solid income as someone
who is a partner in a firm downtown,
so his gesture was appreciated.
He seems like a real gentleman.
